                                                                                    SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT #62

MONDAY, JUNE 3, 2024 @ 5:00 P.M.

SCRIBNER – SNYDER BAND BUILDING

 

 

OPEN THE MEETING

Call the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President Schnoor presiding.

 

OPEN MEETINGS ACT

Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public Notice with notice and advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date.  Scribner-Snyder personnel Joe Peitzmeier and Malia Nemecek were in attendance.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

ROLL CALL

A call of roll showed 5 members present:  Don Beck, Dyann Bradbury, Mike Fischer, Aaron Lange and Laura Schnoor.

Absent – Janis Baker

 

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Fischer moved to approve the Agenda as presented. Bradbury seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Baker)

 

WELCOMING OF VISITORS

No Visitors

 

Recess the meeting at 5:02 p.m. for facilities tours – Scribner-Snyder President, Laura Schnoor

 

Baker arrived at 5:06 p.m.

 

Reconvene the meeting at 6:30 p.m. – Scribner-Snyder President, Laura Schnoor

 

REGULAR AGENDA

  • Planning for 2024-2025
  1. Superintendent Peitzmeier and Principal Nemecek presented an update and review of the strategic plan and continuous school improvement process respectively.
  2. The Board discussed transportation, strategies for keeping students in Scribner, day care and board goals.

 

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business on the agenda of this special meeting, President Schnoor adjourned the meeting at 8:58 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education of District #62, Dodge County, will be Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m., in the Scribner–Snyder Band Room.  Agenda items are kept continually current in the superintendent’s office and may be inspected during regular business hours.
