                                                             REGULAR MEETING

BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT #62

WEDNESDAY, JULY 9, 2025 @ 6:30 P.M.

SCRIBNER – SNYDER BAND BUILDING

 

 

OPEN THE MEETING

Call the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President Fischer presiding.

 

OPEN MEETINGS ACT

Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public Notice with notice and advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date.  Scribner-Snyder personnel Kate Chrisman, Malia Nemecek and Sharon Meyer were in attendance.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

ROLL CALL

A call of roll showed 5 members present:  Dyann Bradbury, Jake Brainard, Mike Fischer and Aaron Lange and Lisa Lawton. 1-absent (Janis Baker)

ACTION ITEMS

 

APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA

Bradbury moved to approve the Consent Agenda as presented.  This includes the approval of the agenda, June 11, 2025 Regular Meeting Minutes, Treasurers Report (attachment 1), Financial Report (attachment 2), General Fund expenses (attachment 3) Special Building expenses (attachment 4) and placed them on file.  Lawton seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Baker)

 

DISCUSS, CONSIDER, AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTION IN REGARD TO RENEWING MEMBERSHIP IN THE NEBRASKA RURAL COMMUNITY SCHOOLS ASSOCIATION (NRCSA) FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

Bradbury moved to renew membership in the Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association (NRCSA) for the 2025-2026 school year.  Lawton seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Baker)

 

DISCUSS, CONSIDER, AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTION TO SET FOOD SERVICE PRICES FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

Lawton moved that the school food service prices for the 2025-2026 school year be set as presented. (attachment 5).  Bradbury seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Baker).

There being no further business on the agenda of this meeting, President Mike Fischer adjourned this meeting at 7:08 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education of District #62, Dodge County, will be Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Scribner-Snyder Band Room.  Agenda items are kept continually current in the superintendent’s office and may be inspected during regular business hours.
