                                                      SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

                                                    BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT #62

           WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2024 @ 4:00 P.M.

  SCRIBNER – SNYDER BAND BUILDING

 

OPEN THE MEETING

Call the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President Schnoor presiding.

 

OPEN MEETINGS ACT

Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public Notice with notice and advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date.  Scribner-Snyder personnel Sharon Meyer was in attendance.

 

The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

 

ROLL CALL

A call of roll showed 4 members present:  Janis Baker, Dyann Bradbury, Aaron Lange and Laura Schnoor.  Absent – Don Beck and Mike Fischer

 

APRROVAL OF AGENDA

Bradbury moved to approve the Agenda as presented.  Baker seconded and motion carried 4-yes, 2-absent (Beck and Fischer).

REGULAR AGENDA

REVIEW APPLICATIONS FOR THE SUPERINTENDENT POSITION

Review superintendent search with Shari Becker and Rex Pfeil from NSAB.

 

Mike Fischer arrived at 4:07 p.m.

 

EXECUTIVE SESSION

Lange moved to enter executive session at 4:10 p.m. for the purpose of preventing the needless injury to the reputation of individuals and to protect the public’s interest.  Baker seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Beck).

 

MOTION TO RETURN TO REGULAR SESSION

Bradbury moved to resume Regular Session at 5:31 p.m.  Fischer seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Beck).

 

APPROVAL OF CANDIDATES TO INTERVIEW

Bradbury moved to approve the interviewing of candidates A, B and E for superintendent at Scribner-Snyder Community Schools.  Baker seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Beck).

 

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business on the agenda of this meeting, President Laura Schnoor adjourned this meeting at 6:05 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education of District #62, Dodge County, will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., in the Scribner–Snyder Band Room.  Agenda items are kept current in the superintendent’s office and may be inspected during regular business hours.
