BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT #62
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2024 @ 6:30 P.M.

OPEN THE MEETING
Call the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President Schnoor presiding.
OPEN MEETINGS ACT
Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public Notice with notice and advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date. Scribner-Snyder personnel Joe Peitzmeier, Malia Nemecek and Sharon Meyer were in attendance.
ROLL CALL
A call of roll showed all members present: Janis Baker, Don Beck, Dyann Bradbury, Mike Fischer, Aaron Lange and Laura Schnoor.

- November 11 – Veteran’s Day Program was a success. Thanks to all who helped with this event.

- November 26 – Thanksgiving break – 1:30 dismissal
AD Report:
- November 18 – Winter sports begin
- December 2 – Jamboree games held at Bergan
- November 19 – EHC One-Act – No School
- December 9 – One-Act/FCCLA dinner and performance at 6:30 p.m.
- E-Sports League of Legends team qualified for state tournament at Midland on November 22 & 23
- November 25 – American Red Cross Blood Drive hosted by FCCLA
- November 25 – JAG Celebration in the commons area at 5:00 p.m.
- December 13 – Elementary Christmas Concert at 7:00 p.m.
- December 15 – High School Christmas Concert at 2:00 p.m. Senior class will sponsor a Soup & Sandwich Luncheon fundraiser.

ACTION ITEMS
APROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA
Fischer moved to approve the Consent Agenda as presented. This includes the approval of the agenda, October 9, 2024 Regular Meeting Minutes, October 23 and November 4, 2024 Special Board Meeting Minutes, Treasurers Report (attachment 1), Financial Report (attachment 2), General Fund expenses (attachment 3), Special Building Fund expenses (attachment 4) and placed them on file. Bradbury seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
STAFF RESIGNATION
Bradbury moved to accept the resignation of Mrs. Laura Enos (attachment 5) effective at the end of the contract year with regret. Baker seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
DISCUSS, CONSIDER AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTION REGARDING REPLACEMENT OF THE ROLL UP FIRE DOOR TO THE KITCHEN
After discussion, Bradbury moved to accept the proposal from Overhead Door Company for the replacement of a manual roll up fire door to the kitchen. After discussion Lange seconded and motion carried 6-yes.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
MOTION TO ENTER EXECUTIVE SESSION
Baker moved to enter executive session at 7:48 p.m. for the purpose of strategy session with respect to collective bargaining and for the protection of the public interest. Beck seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
MOTION TO RETURN TO REGULAR SESSION
Lange moved to resume Regular Session at 8:51 p.m. Bradbuy seconded and motion carried 6-yes.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business on the agenda of this meeting, President Laura Schnoor adjourned this meeting at 8:56 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Education of District #62, Dodge County, will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 6:30 p.m., in the Scribner-Snyder Band Room. Agenda items are kept continually current in the superintendent’s office and may be inspected during regular business hours.
