OPEN THE MEETING
Call the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Scribner-Snyder President, Dyann Bradbury presiding.
OPEN MEETINGS ACT
Notice of this meeting was properly published in a newspaper of general circulation by advance Public Notice with notice and advance agenda given to all members of the board prior to the meeting date. Scribner-Snyder personnel Malia Nemecek and Megan Stock were in attendance.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

A call of roll showed 5 members present: Janis Baker, Dyann Bradbury, Jake Brainard, Lisa Lawton and David Schnoor, 1 Absent (Fischer)
Lawton moved to excuse board member Mike Fisher’s absence. Baker seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Fischer)

APPROVAL OF BOARD POLICIES
Lawton moved that policies 1005.03 “Parent Involvement in Education Practices”, 504.19 “Student Fees”, 540.20 “Bullying”, 1005.03 “Parent Involvement in the Title I Program”, 503.01 “Compulsory Attendance” and 604.04 “Multicultural Education” be proved as presented. Baker seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1 absent (Fischer).
SCRIBNER-SNYDER COMMUNITY EDUCATION FOUNDATIONAL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Baker moved to approve a Memorandum of Understanding between the Scribner-Snyder Community Schools and the Scribner-Snyder Community Educational Foundation. Brainard seconded and after discussion the motion was tabled.
LUNCH PRICES
Brainard moved to approve the breakfast and lunch prices as presented. Lawton seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Fischer).
2026-2027 SCHOOL CALENDAR
Brainard moved to authorize the Superintendent to make necessary adjustments to the 2026-2027 school calendar and/or daily schedule to ensure buildings and school grounds readiness. Lawton seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Fischer)
POLICY REVISIONS- 502.02 – OPTION ENROLLMENT AND 504.03 – STUDENT DISCIPLINE
Baker moved to approve the revisions to board policies as presented. Brainard seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Fischer)
RESOLUTION APPROVING STAFF TRAININGS
Lawton moved to approve the following resolution pertaining to staff trainings (attachment 4). Brainard seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Fischer).
CORRECTION ON SCHOOL DISTRICT TAX CREDIT ALLOCATION
Baker moved to approve the repayment to Dodge County Treasurer for the amount of $30,270.38 from the General Fund and $8,163 from the Sinking Fund (Special Building Fund). Brainard seconded and motion carried 4-yes, 1-No (Schnoor), 1-absent (Fischer)
JOBS FOR AMERICA’S GRADUATES (JAG) MOU
Baker moved to approve the contribution of $10,000 per the MOPU agreement between Scribner-Snyder Community Schools and Jobs for America’s Graduates. Schnoor seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Fischer).
APPROVAL OF 2026-2027 HANDBOOKS
Brainard moved to approve the 2026-2027 Parent/Student Handbook, Elementary Handbook, Faculty Handbook, Activities Handbook, and Support Staff Handbook as presented. Lawton seconded and motion carried 5-yes, 1-absent (Fischer).
